BIOGRAPHY

Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). He is the immediate former Chairman of the CIArb- Kenya Branch. He is also an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, in good standing with a post-Admission experience of 13 years. He holds an LL.B (Honours) and an LL.M Degree (UNISA, Pretoria). He is currently completing my LL.D focusing on International Economic Law. His topic of research relates to intra-africa trade and investment dispute resolution under the continental economic regionalism.

He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb –UK). He is also trained as a Mediator by the CIArb-UK, under its 40 hour Mediation training. He is an Accredited Mediator both by CIArb–UK and the Court Annexed Mediation Programme (CAMP) of the Kenyan Judiciary. He is a member of the CIArb Kenya Branch Committee.

He is a member of the Task Force appointed by the Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya on ADR and specifically mandated to roll out Court Annexed Mediation and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). He is a member of the Working Group on the Review of the Arbitration Act, 1995 of Kenya. He is a qualified construction Adjudicator; trained by the CIArb. He is also one of the seven candidates shortlisted by the CIArb and recommended to the Attorney General of the Republic of Kenya for nomination to represent the state in the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
